Princess Kate ‘like Diana’ as she shares ‘genuine hug’ with cancer patient during hospital visit
Princess Kate has been praised for her “genuine” and “special” behaviour towards a cancer patient this week.
On Tuesday (January 14), the Princess of Wales visited Royal Marsden Hospital. She wanted to thank the hospital staff for how they looked after her when she was receiving her cancer treatment last year.
During the visit, Kate also spoke with cancer patients including Rebecca Mendelsohn, 57.

Rebecca is receiving treatment for secondary breast cancer. She was at the hospital this week for a check-up when she spotted Kate being given a tour.
The Princess of Wales, 43, asked if anyone in the crowd had cancer, and Rebecca came forward and had a conversation with Kate.
She was giving me the love and I was giving her the love. It felt so true.
Rebecca has said she and Kate had a “connection”. Speaking to the MailOnline, Rebecca said: “Kate walked towards me and looked at me and said: ‘Has anyone here got cancer?’
“That’s when I went very slowly putting my finger up, and said: ‘Yes, I do.’ We got talking and she asked me what I had. I told her I had secondary cancer. I said to her; ‘Kate you are an inspiration.’”
