Nie wszystkim podoba się decyzja organizatorów Wimbledonu ws. Igi Świątek
Iga Świątek we wtorek zacznie rywalizację na kortach trawiastych Wimbledonu. Jej pierwszą rywalką będzie Amerykanka Sofia Kenin. Polska tenisitka zaczynała każdy turniej wielkoszlemowy na korcie centralnym, ale tegoroczny Wimbledon będzie wyjątkiem. Nie wszystkim podoba się decyzja organizatorów, nawet jeśli jest kilka konkretnych powodów takiej decyzji Brytyjczyków.
Organizatorzy przewidzieli trzy mecze we wtorek na korcie centralnym Wimbledonu. Jako pierwsza zagra Marketa Vondrousova, która broni tytułu. Jej spotkanie zaplanowano na godzinę 14:30. Po niej wejdzie na kort Novak Djoković, który triumfował tu aż osiem razy. Jako trzeci i ostatni na największym korcie kompleksu zagra Andy Murray, bohater Brytyjczyków. Wygrał tu dwa turnieje i zdobył złoty medal olimpijski.
Świątek nie zacznie na korcie centralnym
Na pierwszy rzut oka pozycja liderki światowego rankingu WTA to za mało, by Iga Świątek rozpoczęła Wimbledon na korcie centralnym. Na największych kortach zazwyczaj grają najlepsi tenisiści i najlepsze tenisistki w stawce, ale podejście organizatorów jest nieco inne niż na Australian Open, Rolandzie Garrosie czy US Open.
