He left with a concussion, but the next day something beautiful happened. After the game, Bills fans looked for a way to honor Lamar and discovered his past $25,000 gift. Donations started pouring in for Blessings in a Backpack, and they confirmed on social media that nearly all of the donations were from Bills fans. In the message line with their gifts, people said “Bills Mafia” and “Go Bills”.
In a few days, over 13,600 Bills fans gave more than $360,000 to feed hungry kids. In that moment, it was bigger than football. Lamar’s act of kindness turned into thousands of strangers helping children in need. That’s the kind of win that lasts forever.
