Jason Kelce outlines why Travis Kelce’s Chiefs are primed for Super Bowl three-peat
Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce were on different teams in different conferences at this time last year. However, the Kelce brothers now appear to be united behind the Kansas City Chiefs in one way or another.
“I think they got the pieces in place. The big important ones – the quarterback, the head coach. They re-signed all the key pieces on offense and defense. Across the board, they weathered a lot of storms last year and came together as a group.
“The fact they got it done last year, and there’s going to be more continuity. And some new pieces are going to help with some of the weaknesses they had. They look even stronger.”
The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in a similar position to Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. Seemingly all other storylines have muted in comparison to the Chiefs’ chance to make history. Like Jordan’s Bulls, expectations are sky-high and the pressure is intense.Even Jason Kelce has added to the hype, describing the team as “stronger” than the one that won the Super Bowl. Of course, now it falls on the Chiefs to live up to the expectation.

Travis Kelce’s Chiefs face big questions en route to potential Super Bowl three-peat

For every case that the Chiefs can win it all again, there is a question to match it. The roster appears to be stronger on paper, however, Travis Kelce is coming off his least productive season in a decade. Another year deeper into his mid-30s, Father Time could hit at any point. Will he bounce back this season?
Additionally, questions surround how the team has handled their off-season drama. Multiple players have been arrested, including number one receiver Rashee Rice, while kicker Harrison Butker has stirred controversy with his take on women’s roles. Meanwhile, the addition of controversial punter Matt Araiza also has the chance to stir the pot.Lastly, the addition of a new premium rookie receiver in Xavier Worthy comes with adding a potential top target without playoff experience to the mix. While there are plenty of reasons to back the Chiefs, the team is not without its questions. Will Kansas City win it all for a third straight year?
