Catherine, Princess of Wales, will attend the Wimbledon men’s singles final on Sunday, July 14, Kensington Palace has confirmed.

Attending the athletic event has become a tradition for the former Kate Middleton. But the royal has largely kept of the public eye since March, when she shared that she is undergoing treatment for cancer.

Her appearance at Wimbledon will mark her second public appearance since revealing her cancer diagnosis. On June 15, she attended Trooping the Colour, an event honoring King Charles III”s birthday.

The princess, who holds the title of Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, has a longstanding history at Wimbledon. In 2023, she watched the gripping matchup between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic with her husband, Prince William, and their two oldest kids, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, by her side.

When Alcaraz came out on top, Kate handed him the men’s singles trophy, smiling from ear to ear.

The 2024 men’s singles final will be a rematch between Alcaraz and Djokovic.
