Taylor Swift’s feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian goes back a whole decade, and offers twists and turns that no one saw coming. It all started at the MTV VMAs in September 2009, when Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech, and has bubbled behind closed doors – and in right in front of our eyes – ever since. Back in January 2023, Kim and daughter North West shared a TikTok video to their joint account, @kimandnorth, dancing along to Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’.

While many fans thought this was putting an end to the feud once and for all, Swifties think Taylor might’ve used the KUWTK alumni as inspiration for her music yet again, on new album The Tortured Poets Department.

Release on 19 April 2024, the song ‘thanK you aIMee’ not only has capital letters that spell out KIM, but tells the story of an ongoing feud Taylor had with another woman. One particular lyric feels very telling: “And one day, your kid comes home singing’ A song that only us two is gonna know is about you.”

A few days after the song came out, a report claimed to know how Kim felt about the apparent diss track, insisting she’s ready to leave their feud in the past.

“She’s over it and thinks Taylor should move on,” an insider told PEOPLE. “[Kim] doesn’t get why [Swift] keeps harping on it. It’s been literally years.”

So far, neither Kim or Taylor have commented on the speculation that it’s about Kardashian, so this is just rumours for now. Interestingly, though, Kim did also take to Instagram to share a photo hanging out with Karlie Kloss – who was once a friend of Taylor’s, but hasn’t been photographed with her in a long time. Interesting.
