According to a former palace staffer, life in the US for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did not end up being “what they thought it would be,” leading to the decision for the couple and their family to make the transatlantic move to Portugal.
The pair reportedly bought one of 300 soon-to-be constructed residences at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, a lush 722-acre development about 81 miles outside of Lisbon, which set them back a cool $4.7 million.
In what could be a potential move to bring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex closer to the UK, a potential reconciliation with the royal family is still up in the air.
