Brittany Mahomes has often proved to be a divisive figure on social media due to her posts about Patrick Mahomes’ NFL career. But this time, the former professional soccer player has landed herself in a photoshopping scandal after being accused of doctoring photos posted online

Mahomes is now facing online hate after commenters suggested she had edited photos of herself – similar to the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, who apologized after she was caught editing a family photo back in March.

Posting a series of images of herself and with two female friends, Mahomes, 28, changed outfits to pose in front of the camera.

In one photo, she can be seen wearing a pink plaid dress, a pink belt, and a simple diamond necklace. In others, she modeled a sequined pink crop top, with the caption: “The glam shots deserved their own moment”.

But clearly not everyone agreed with her view, with nearly 200 comments on the post – the majority of which chastized the mother-of-two. One user wrote: “Photoshopped to DEATH”, adding nine laughing emojis to summarize their disapproval.

Another said it was “photoshopped to Hell and back, lol,” and a different user commented. “These are definitely Photoshopped.”

A fourth commenter said: “How many pictures can one take and post of their own self. Are you 16? Just strange and screams narcissistic traits…just saying”.

Brittany Mahomes finds way to deal with hate
With her reputation taking a hit, Mahomes may remind herself of her way of dealing with online criticism after she was announced as a swimsuit model for Sports Illustrated in February.

Brittany featured on the cover of the SI and as part of her interview, she imparted some wisdom on those who choose to criticize the way she looks.

“Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself. People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters,” she told the magazine.

“Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.”
