KANSAS City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany has made a desperate plea.
Brittany, 30, has urged fans to contribute after their close friends suffered a devastating tragedy.
This comes after a family friend’s house was destroyed by a fire.
A link was shared on her social media account for a GoFundMe page set up to support neighbors Brian and Jen Tsiames.
“Hi guys, a friend of ours’ neighbor just lost their home to a fire!” Brittany posted on social media.
“If you feel inclined to help please do. A little goes a long way in times like these so anything helps!”
This is not the first time that the Chiefs quarterback and his wife have gotten behind a charitable cause.
They raised more than $1,500,000 for the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation in October.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, 67, also appeared at the charity gala.
More than $2,300 has been raised for the Tsiames family so far.
The GoFundMe page explains that a s’mores maker caused the house to go up in flames on Tuesday evening.
Their children had put the s’mores maker away while it was still hot causing the fire.
Parents Brian and Jen had briefly gone out to return their food truck just a few miles away when the incident happened.
“Insurance will eventually help with the rebuild, but it doesn’t erase the immense financial burden or address the immediate needs they’re facing,” the GoFundMe explains.
