As the Duchess of Sussex prepared to unveil one of her most anticipated releases of the year, Los Angeles and its surrounding areas were struck by devastating wildfires, which destroyed thousands of acres of land and claimed numerous lives.

In light of these tragic events, Netflix issued a statement expressing their full backing of Meghan’s decision, underscoring the importance of their partnership.

“At the request of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and with the full support of Netflix, the release of her show—a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California—has been moved from its original January premiere date to March 4, due to the ongoing devastation caused by the Los Angeles wildfires,” the streaming service announced on its Tudum website.

The statement also included a message from Meghan herself: “I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California.”
