W 2023 r. posłowie PiS z Jarosławem Kaczyńskim na czele okupowali — również w nocy — siedziby TVP i PAP, protestując wobec “zamachu na media publiczne”. Prokuratura właśnie wszczęła postępowanie w sprawie m.in. naruszenia miru domowego przez działaczy partii Kaczyńskiego, a także gróźb, których mieli się dopuszczać. Dlaczego dopiero teraz ruszyło śledztwo? — W naszej opinii przeszkadzali prokuratorzy, którzy byli lojalni w stosunku do PiS. Robili co mogli, stawali na głowie, żeby nie dopuścić do wszczęcia śledztwa — mówi “Faktowi” Rafał Gaweł z OMZRiK, który złożył zawiadomienie.
Przypomnijmy, że po wyborach parlamentarnych w 2023 r. Sejm podjął uchwałę o “przywróceniu porządku prawnego oraz bezstronności i rzetelności mediów publicznych oraz Polskiej Agencji Prasowej”. W tym czasie ponad 100 posłów PiS udało się do siedziby TVP, by rozpocząć protesty. W tym samym dniu przez ministra kultury Bartłomieja Sienkiewicza odwołane zostały władze mediów publicznych. Rozpoczęło to wielką okupację budynków TVP i PAP.
