Taylor Swift performs touching gesture to Travis Kelce at Wembley Stadium show
During Taylor Swift’s maiden performance in London for the Eras Tour, she paid a heartfelt homage to boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Swift delivered an electrifying 46-song set on Friday, but one specific instant during her rendition of “So High School” got fans buzzing: while roaming the stage at Wembley Stadium, the pop superstar drew her arm back, imitating shooting an arrow from a bow.
Fans noticed that this gesture was strikingly similar to Kelce’s NFL touchdown celebration routine. Earlier this year, the Kansas City Chiefs released a video featuring their star tight end perfecting his celebration against a white backdrop.
The eagle-eyed Swifties were quick to observe and gush over the cute gesture. “They’re sooooo obsessed with each other… I LOVE THIS SOOOOOOO MUCH it’s just everything our girl deserves and more! ” one social media user commented.
Another couldn’t contain their excitement and chimed in with: “Guuuuurl, we already know its about him”.
Previously, Swift incorporated this archery move during performances of her song “The Archer,”, famous for the lyric: “I’ve been the archer, I’ve been the prey.”
However, the 14-time Grammy winner scrapped this track from her recent setlist, choosing instead new songs from her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“So High School” pays tribute to Swift and Kelce’s romance with the line, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle” – a clever nod to the couple’s respective talents in football and music. Swift wrapped up her show with a sweet shout-out to Kelce during her performance of “Karma.”
In a move she’s made before, she tweaked the lyrics from “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
