Konklawe do wyboru nowego papieża rozpocznie się 7 maja. Kardynałowie obecni w Rzymie podjęli decyzję w poniedziałek na swojej piątej Kongregacji Generalnej – przekazano.

Przygotowania do konklawe w pełni
Przygotowania do zbliżającego się konklawe weszły w decydującą fazę. W dniu 5 maja kluczowe osoby zaangażowane w organizację wyboru nowego papieża złożyły uroczystą przysięgę tajemnicy.
Obowiązek ten nie dotyczy jedynie duchownych — przysięgę składają również technicy, personel kuchenny, operatorzy wind, funkcjonariusze żandarmerii watykańskiej oraz członkowie Gwardii Szwajcarskiej. Wszystkie te osoby zobowiązują się do bezwzględnego milczenia na temat tego, co dzieje się za zamkniętymi drzwiami Kaplicy Sykstyńskiej.
